The Assassins by Muddy-Coyote The Assassins by Muddy-Coyote
Seeing as I have named all but one of my coyotes after Assassins... I figured I'd get a group picture of them. It's not the best photo, but the weather hasn't been kind down here xP

But here they are in order -
Malik (m), Altaļr (f), Ezio (m), Haytham (m), Connor (m), Achilles (m), and then Desmond (m) perching up on top of them all xP

Better pictures of these guys will come soon, individual pictures as well :3

...Those aren't real I hope, you do know it's against the law in most countries to skin/sell real fur though I do eat 'meat' I wouldn't want to wear endangered animals ¬.¬

Yes, these are a hundred percent real, but I have not heard of, in the least bit, a pest species being endangered, let alone being illegal to skin or sell. :\ Coyotes kill numerous livestock, pets, and reduce wild animal populations greatly to the point where they can't sustain themselves. In some states it's the best thing for them to be culled so their population can stay healthy.
Secondly, I honestly wouldn't eat coyote unless I had to, their meat isn't suitable for consumption since they're a predator :3 And yes, I eat actual meat regularly.
Thirdly... I'm wearing them? I'm sorry, but I have not fashioned these into a coat, nor do I plan on doing so anytime soon.

It saddens me that so many people are that ignorant and feel the need to stick their nose in other peoples business while spewing nonsense. Smh.

That dark coloured one really stands out! I wish the light wasn't so orangey so I could see the colour variations between them all though. :D

x3 Thank you! She's my little black one.
And yeah xDD For some reason the lighting in my room decides to change the contrast. If I use my flash it just bleaches everything out though, I'll be sure to get a shot of these guys in some good lighting here sometime soon

I'm lucky to have a conservatory that is lit from three sides and the ceiling to take photos of mine! I'd suggest taking them outside but I dunno about you, but the weather has been constantly atrocious here. :noes: I'm in the UK though.
Anyway, they are great pelts. Is there much difference between the others?

Ohhh that's awesome! x3
And yeah, I would take them outside, but we've either been getting rain, or when it isn't raining it's ALL MUD. I'd be terrified to get them dirty x-x So it isn't much better here in the US.
Thank you!
And a little. I've got a few northern coyotes, then a brindle, and then the black. They have the same fur texture (though some of the northern are softer due to needing to stay warm), but they're similar say for size and color :3

I'm in touch with a fur warehouse, which I visited last week... it was awesome, and it's where I got my coyote, though nothing there is meant for mounting (so no ears, lower jaw, feet etc). Unfortunately all they had left of coyotes was second grade stuff - mine looks nice enough, except for some bald spots, but...
I'll have to ask them if they ever get the unusual colours in. I have a hunch they probably won't, but I can try. Plenty of unusual foxes and things though!

Oh awesome! Yeah they probably are all suited for garments and not for taxidermy. I hate it though when people still take off the jaw/ears/paws or other bits x3 I'd still love to go to a place like that. The only things that I've gotten some of my furs at is at trappers conventions, or if I scower online enough. So I would actually LOVE going to a place that has them all around haha

Ugh yeah, I would never lie them on the ground if it was even slightly damp. :noes:
I have seen some really red coyotes and some really blonde ones, too. But only a couple of examples. I like their 'common' markings though. The v-shape is very distinctive!

I'm OCD with my pelts xDD They have to stay in my room or else I freak out. I don't know why lol
MHM So have I. I think Desmond is more on the latter of a reddish/strawberry coloring then the light light blonde :3

Your ignorance is astounding. These pelts would otherwise have gone to waste, like, rotting in the ground/road/a hunters yard/wherever she got them. Plus, any wild animal dies a much better end than any cow/pig/chicken/whatever the fuck you want. Plus, by eating meat, you are supplying more money for farms to kill meat animals. So in some ways, you already are supporting harvesting delicious food that you deem disgusting.
